Youth Conference!

MK here, I went to Youth Conference. It was really fun! We learned about the Straight and Narrow and that we need to hold to the Iron Rod. It was very uplifting and I enjoyed it. We had to go to UCCS and we stayed in the dorms. They smelled weird. Any way after we got there we went to lunch and I had pizza it was actually very good. Then we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It rained in the middle of our time there and our group got soaked and it was really fun. It was really hot at first than when it rained it was nice to be wet. Then we had speaker come in and talk to us and it was long but she teaches 2nd grade so she kind of over explained everything which was Ok it was just longer than necessary-but oh, well. Then we had lights out. The next day we went to the Royal Gorge. It was so fun! We went on rides and the first one we went on was the Inclining Railway. It was a train kind-of –thing and it went down the steepest part of the Gorge and I was kind of scared but when we started it was fine because we were only going like 3m.p.h. so it was actually kind of fun. We sat in the front on the way down and the back on the way up so it was cool. Then we walked around and ate lunch and then we went on the Carousel like 6 times and we all were kind of dizzy after words. Then I and another girl went on the Aerial Tram which crossed the Gorge on a big cable it wasn’t as scary as walking across the bridge which moved up and down in the wind. So I liked the Tram better but the inclining train was the best. Then we took a picture and left it was like an hour’s drive then we played a game and it was really fun. The game was followed a talk on airplanes and driving in the clouds and how the pilots have to rely on instruments and we have to rely on scriptures and prayer to get where we need to be. Then the leaders tied a rope to a tree to another tree and then a big curve to another tree. We had to follow this rope across a ditch with prickly plants and I of course was wearing flip-flops so I ended up stepping on a mean ole plant and ended up with a pain in the back of my heel but I made it finally and then when we got across we had to walk across the ditch again to get back over. It was weird then we talked about how the things people did and how it symbolizes our journey. Then we played a game where we had to find out what place was taped on our back like Mount Rushmore and you had to ask yes or no questions that got old very soon because mine was Easter islands. Then we played football-Frisbee beehives and leaders vs. Deacons and like 3 leaders we of course won because more girls eventually showed up. Then we played wooden spoons with toothbrushes where you hit each other on the head until someone gives up it was fun I know it sounds weird but the person you are against isn’t really hitting you someone not playing is behind you and whacking hard and I lasted for 8 minutes against a girl who wasn’t even hitting me. I was the 2nd longest one girl lasted linger than me for 10 minutes until she found out because she hit too soon and she turned around and saw her. It was really funny. The next day we went to Cave of the Winds and they told ghost stories in the dark and then started talking about spiders and I got scared not because of ghosts but Spiders. It was really cold I was shivering. Any way then we went home and I was not aware that hands had the ability to sleep. All of my limbs fell asleep. I’m serious. Finally we got home but I slept through most of it except I kept waking up because of already stated reasons. Any way we finally got home and I was happy to be.

I am also going to girls’ camp! Out of the blue but does a black belt match a plain pink polo-shirt dress if that makes any sense it’s just that I have this plain pink dress that I wanted to wear a belt with to make it more exciting IDK Bye for now

I am with Kara, skip the belt. Was that Youth Conference for Mormons? I need to file a complaint if so, cuz we never got to do anything even remotely fun, let alone go places. Ours were held at a college campus and we couldn't leave. You are lucky to have had such a great experience. Glad you had fun.
