Idling Away Time

Listening to Kara's music as I blog. Parenthetically speaking I was informed by Seth that blog is short for "web log" which I think we all prefer. At least at this house. Don't know why we have to be such sticks in the mud about technology. Onward and upward....? At first I did not appreciate the Michael Jackson song, but then I remembered I liked it years ago before he became a ghoul so I've got no real complaints at this time. Tuey also appreciates the song "Home", but I think it was a country song when he had me listen to it. Perhaps this will be cleared up for me in time.
Went for a long bike ride today out to the mall area to pay my bills, one of which was a day overdo. One would think I would mail them or pay them online, but it gives me an excuse to get out to the stores. Not good when one goes a day later than one thought one needed to go. Hopefully JC Penney will take into consideration the fact that I've NEVER been late with a bill prior to this small hiccup. If not, I will just have to take my medicine so to speak. It feels like spring out although I hear the weekend is supposed to bring bad weather. I will enjoy it while I can.
Can't tell you how much we enjoyed our visit to Texas. The meals were terrific (still waiting on that Asian spaghetti recipe and in fact have some green peppers rotting in the fridge), the desserts, delectable. I know a lot of time, expense, and effort went into each meal and it definitely did not go unappreciated!
Still wearing those black straight leg jeans. Old habits are hard to break. I'm still studying on the fact that my sister told me I was cold and distant in my responses to people and that Katie said she and I were cut from the same cloth. Makes me wonder who I really am. Perhaps the not so cryptic answer to that is "nobody". I sure feel like it some days.
Making cookies for my father. Naturally I had to sample the dough. I often think of Jake getting sick from eating cake batter. Oddly enough, that does not deter my efforts. I prefer the dough to the actual cookie.

Thank you for your efforts in your 'web log'..i also found out that that was what it was short for but only after not answering the question correctly in an intense game of battle of the sexes. But alas, do we ever truly know who we are or where in the world we are supposed to be? i think we have to hold to the fact that our families and our Faith in the Lord should be our foundation..and anything built upon that is ok. To clear things up, "home" is a song initially made famous by michael buble but has recently been covered by blake shelton the country singer (for the record i much more appreciate michael's version..his voice is like butter)!

I too agree about Michael's version. I don't think anyone should cover his songs. It's not right. I hit repeat when I hear them. Well, him and Jason Mraz. I'm intrigued by the two although I haven't figured out why exactly ... I'm glad you guys could visit. I will email those recipes tonight. Sorry for the delay. I'd give you an excuse but frankly, I'm tired of hearing my own excuses. I'm full of them. :) I better get on that before I forget...

Apart from the self discovery that you are working on, I am ever concerned about the jeans. Was in Wal-mart -where else, right- and saw several racks of affordable jeans, that are not at all unstylish. Better yet, didn't your mother give you a Kohl's gift card? Buy a fitted shirt for me. Even if you only wear it for your husband to see.
