So on Sunday morning, Seth and Tuey accompanied me to Mass which takes place at the early hour of seven a.m. I began to sing the song that had been stuck in my head all the night through, which Tuey later told me enraged him to the point that he wanted to break one of the car windows. Seth appeared to be no happier with my little ditty that I'm sure you all know, some by choice, others, like me, have it foisted upon them.
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
Cause it's late and your mama don't know.
Only I sang, when we're on the phone and you talk real "low."
The boys corrected me (Tuey actually pulled the lyrics from a website, thus proving me wrong, aha!) and so I began to question the sense of it all. Why would one talk real "slow" pray tell? Is it lethargy caused by the lateness of the hour? Is there slurring involved? Is there a speech impediment involved? Would she have the patience to listen to a guy talking slow who otherwise does not? Would they both fall asleep awaiting the selection of his next word? And why talk at all in this day and age? Why not just have safe text? Surely mama wouldn't hear fingers flying over buttons on a phone. I know I certainly never do.

But mama is still gonna see the bill and know that they are stayin up late safe textin, and then she's gonna start worryin about safe sextin and such. And I do question why mama doesn't know in the first place. Is she out? At work? Drunk already? Or is she one of those mom's who thinks its not her kid that gets into trouble? All questions I would like to ask Miss Swift.
i think we are spending a bit too much time talking about miss swift and her little ditty. but i think the slowness is so that she can speak a word or two..then has to stop and listen if mama is coming..because mama is trying to know...lol.
that is hurtful. i love you too. but that is hurtful. :)
